Everyone in town knew Violet belonged to the Mercer girl, even after the girl died. What no one could explain was why the doll still appeared in the upstairs window every night. Anyone who tried to bring Violet home began doing things they couldn't explain and remembering things that never happened. They say they could faintly hear the Mercer girl begging for her life and some swore Violet took pieces of them with her.
