The Killer Media Podcast

The Official Podcast of HorrorCore

Two lifelong horror fans, one long argument about fear, and no interest in being polite about it.

It started on September 26th, 2024 two opinions, and a genre big enough to argue about forever. Slashers and seances. Practical gore and possessed farmhouses. The films that built horror, and the ones quietly rebuilding it right now.

No script. No press tour manners. Tim and Nick talk about horror the way it actually gets talked about at one in the morning, when the credits have rolled and nobody wants to go home yet. That is the whole show, and it's why people keep coming back to it.

On February 1st 2026 they officially joined HorrorCore. The Killer Media Podcast is now the voice of the Core.

What is your favorite horror movie?
The Shining
What is a moment in your life that felt like it came straight out of a horror movie?
Driving home from my girlfriend's house around 2 a.m. I missed my turn and found myself swallowed by back roads I definitely didn't recognize. It had just rained, and a thick fog clung to the road, rolling in waves, like something straight out of Silent Hill. My headlights barely cut through it, trees looming like shapes that felt a little too intentional. I was the only car out there... or at least, the only one I could see. Every mile felt longer than the last, the silence pressing in, daring me to roll the window down just to hear anything. Safe to say, it was one wrong turn away from becoming a horror movie opening scene.
Name a fun spooky fact about yourself
I love every corner of the horror genre... but demonology and religious horror? That's where my soul taps out. There's just something about possessed voices, sacred symbols turning sinister, and the idea that evil doesn't need permission to enter that absolutely wrecks me. The Conjuring in particular? I'm convinced that movie is actually cursed. It's the kind of film that doesn't end when the credits roll, it follows you home, waits until the lights are off, and makes you question every creak in your house. Freaks me the hell out... and I hate how much I love it.
If you were a horror villain or creature, what would you be and why?
I would definitely want to be a Xenomorph. They are the PERFECT organism! Also I can climb walls...

What is your favorite horror movie?
The Thing
What is a moment in your life that felt like it came straight out of a horror movie?
I was 13 when some friends and I were out late at night and two of us split off and tried going inside a camper parked in the neighborhood. To our surprise it was open and went inside, and mind you this was near a creepy cemetery and the area of our neighborhood on this side was a bit secluded so it felt sketchy. Eventually the alarm on the RV started going off and we ran out of it and through the cemetery. Scared the shit out of me, cause I thought someone was gonna chase us and we would be dead for going inside some random camper.

I can usually fall asleep to creepy stories and sometimes will put them on in the background to sleep. Who in their right mind does that, right?
If you were a horror villain or creature, what would you be and why?
Werewolf would be cool. Major downside is not being able to control yourself in a full moon, but you can still be human at times. To prevent changing into a wolf you can lock yourself in a cage and just track when full moons are, and you won't hurt anyone.
