Ruth belonged to a woman who was found strangled in her bedroom after a violent argument with her lover. The morning she died, blood began running from the doll's eyes. They learned the betrayal had gone both ways, there was enough hatred between them to make murder feel almost inevitable. They say if Ruth is given to a couple as a gift, she slowly turns them against each other until love becomes hatred, and one lover eventually kills the other.
