Dolly was kept by a young woman who began to resemble the doll more each week. Coworkers noticed her adopting the same hairstyle, rigid posture, and blank expression day after day. One morning, she was found dead in her room, her face arranged to mirror the doll's expression. Those who owned it afterward reported losing their sense of self, feeling replaced, and believing the doll was the only thing left that was real.
