Charlotte was given as a wedding gift. The woman's husband died suddenly a few months later. She kept the doll, believing it held the vows she never got to fulfill. She was then found drenched in blood lying in her wedding dress clutching the doll. Afterward, Charlotte passed through several owners, each reporting the same heavy sadness and crushing grief.
