Burnt Ouija Board

Burned by hand with a flamethrower, shou sugi ban style, the Japanese method of charring wood to preserve it.

Once the burn is done the board is shellacked, then our own stencil goes on, painted by Sarah Manuello, and the whole thing is sealed under polyurethane. The planchette comes with it, burned and finished the same way.

This is a collector's item. You will not find these anywhere else and no two come out alike, because the grain takes the flame differently every time, so yours will not match the one in the photo exactly.
